Apatite gets its name from the Greek word Apate. Apate was a Goddess and the definition of trickery, fraud, deception and dishonesty. The reason it’s named after her is because it’s ability to fool people, it resembles different stones quite closely.
Apatite is beneficial to the bones and teeth, it helps to form healthy bones and teeth by absorption of calcium from this stone.
